The Platform for Action on the Green Recovery of Ukraine is a high-level international initiative uniting the Ukrainian government, international organizations, and key stakeholders. Our mission is to facilitate a science-based, systematic, and coordinated approach to rebuilding Ukraine in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. By integrating green policies, financial mechanisms, and stakeholder collaboration, we aim to support Ukraine’s transition to a climate-resilient and net-zero economy.
The Platform for Action on the Green Recovery of Ukraine aims to provide a forum for Ukrainian and international partners to:
Define the meaning of green recovery for Ukraine, considering its status as an EU accession candidate.
Support actions to prioritize and accelerate reforms in policies, legislation, institutions, and practices to enable a whole-of-government approach to green post-war recovery and reconstruction.
Facilitate the development of financial reforms and instruments that support the implementation of the Green Recovery Strategy.
Mobilize expertise and financial resources to promote a science-based, systematic, and coordinated green recovery, setting Ukraine on a climate-resilient and net-zero development path.
Identify challenges and opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of international support, ensuring synergy with existing assistance frameworks.
